NAVDURGA UPASANA IN NAVRATRA

Navaratri is the worship of the three divine goddesses, Saraswati (Goddess of learning and speech), Lakshmi (Goddess of wealth and prosperity), and Durga (Goddess of strength and courage). It is also said to be the battle that occurred between Goddess Chaamundeshwari and the asura (demon), Mahishaasura. The battle lasted 9 days and 9 nights. Finally, on the tenth day, Goddess Chaamundeshwari killed Mahishaasura. This day is known as Vijayadasami. Vijayadasami means the 10th day of victory.

During the Navaratri or the Nine Nights, the whole of India adores the Mother and wor¬ships Her with great devotion. On the first three nights, Durga or the Destructive Aspect of the Mother is worshipped. On the succeeding three nights, it is the Creative Aspect or Lakshmi that is adored. And, on the last three nights, the knowledge aspect, or Sarasvati is invoked. The tenth is the Vijaya Dasami Day or the Day of Victory. There is a special significance in this arrangement. When the Devi is worshipped by a devotee, She first destroys the evil propensities that lurk in his mind; then She implants therein, the Daivi Sampat or the divine qualities conducive to spiritual unfoldment; then She bestows true knowledge on him; lastly the aspirant attains liberation or victory over Samsara.

Navaratri is the most suitable occasion in the year to perform intense Sadhana. These nine days are most sacred. Just imagine the tremendous wave of spiritual vibration, which should sweep the land when millions of people, all over the world repeat the names of the Mother and sing Her glories! All the Devas are ever present in their subtle forms, where the names of Mother are uttered. They would bless you and help you on. You will receive valuable assistance from unknown sources, from the Rishis and Siddhas, if you do intense Sadhana during these nine days.

Following are 9 forms of Mother Durga wellknown as Navadurga which are to be worshiped each day with their divine mantra on the occasion of Navaratri.

1)    Shri Shaila Putri Devi

2)    Shri Brahamacharini Devi

4)    Shri Kushmanda Devi

5)    Shri Skanda Mata Devi (Mother of Skanda/Kumara/Shanmukh/Karthik)

8)     Shri Maha Gauri Devi

SARAVA MANGALA MANGALYE SHIVE SARVARTHA SADHIKE

SHARANYEI TRYMBAKE GAURI NARAYANI NAMOSTHUTE

9)     Shri Siddhidatri Devi

Mantra:- OM HREEM SHRI SIDDHIDATRI DURGAAYE NAMAHA

Chant daily 108 times above mantra for each form of Mother Durga Devi ,in addition chant her ,most divine bija mantra

These 9 divine nights are very powerful,peoples who are interested to do any sadhana’s to get siddhi,power and wealth than these 9 nights are very much suitable as these nights contains very powerfull vibrations.

Worship Divine Mother in all her 9 forms and gets the boons.As everybody knows that Mother has no limit for boons and when her childs asks she will shower with all the boons which we never imagined.Remember these lines from Durga Sapthshati

“Ya Devi Sarvabhooteshyu Matru Roopena Samsthtitha Namastasyai  Namastasyai Namastasyai”

O Divine Devi who dwells in the hearts of all beings as Mother I salute Thee.

A child is more familiar with the mother than the father, because she is very kind, loving, tender, affectionate and looks after the wants of the child. In the spiritual field also the aspirant or the devotee—the spiritual child—has intimate relationship with Mother Durga than with Father Siva. It behoves, therefore, that the aspirant should approach the Mother first and that She will introduce Her spiritual child to the Father for his illumination or Self-realisation.

Mother’s grace is boundless. Her mercy is illimitable. Her knowledge is infinite. Her power is immeasurable. Her glory is ineffable. Her splendour is indescribable. She gives you Bhukti or material prosperity and Mukti also (liberation).

 HOME ACCORDING TO VASTU 

We all care about our homes and spend time, effort and money, trying to make them more comfortable. Similarly, at the places where we work, environmental stresses contribute to overall load, preventing us to reach our full potential. Resisting these external forces becomes more important for growth and development.

NorthWest- The room in this direction is suitable for guests and girls.

Home according to vastu

South-West- The Chief of the house should have his room in this direction.

South-East- No bedroom should be located in this direction. The children do not take interest in studies. There is no sound sleep. People have much anger. Decisions are generally taken hurriedly.
Your Prayer Room- Room for prayer and meditation is recommended to be in the north-east corner of the house. Deity or image of god should not face the south direction. Ideal positions are such that you face east or west while praying.

Bathroom - Bathroom should constructed in the West and South directions and the flow of its drains should be towards North-East.

Toilet - Toilet should be constructed mainly towards South or West. Never build toilets in the direction of eastern corner ant the face should be towards south or West while discharging stool.

Bed Room - According to vastu, the master bedrooms should be in the South-West corner of the house. If the house has more than one floor then, then it should be on the top most floor.The ceiling should be in level, this makes the energy of the room uniform, which in turn gives one a steady state of mind. Children s room should be in the north west or west side. To have a better concentration they should have a separate study close to their bedrooms.

Children`s Room - The children`s room, should be constructed in the North-West corner.
Drawing Room - It should be in North-West, South or west direction. The furniture should be kept in South and West directions. Open space should be maximum in North and East directions.


Dining Room - The dining room should be constructed inSouth-East. The dining room and kitchen should be on the same floor and it should be adjacent to the kitchen from the left. The entrance to the dining room and the main door should not be facing each other. The dining table should be square of rectangular in shape and should not be attached or folding against the wall.

General Room -Though, it is sparingly used; yet it should be constructed in the North-West.

Guest Room - It should be in North-West corner.

Kitchen -The kitchen must be situated in fire angle, i.e. in South-East. The face of the cook should be towards the East. The water tap in kitchen should be in the North-East direction. It is better if the stone on which food is cooked, is of red colour.

Study Room - The North-East,North-West,North,West,East corners are best for a study room. If the study room and place of worship room are adjacent then it is considered most beneficial. These directions attract the positive effects of Mercury increasing brain power, Jupiter increasing wisdom, Sun increasing ambition and Venus helps in bringing about creativity in new thoughts and ideas.

Store Room- If essential then the store room should be constructed in the southern part of the building, other wise grain and other provisions can be stored in the kitchen or in other rooms and cupboards. Things should not be stored in diwans and box beds because it effects the magnetic environment of the self and the room causing sleeping disorders.

Height of Rooms - According to vastu shastra, the rooms in the northern part of the house should be larger than the rooms in the southern side by 6-9 inches, and lower by 1-3 inches. Height of rooms should ideally be, 12- 14 feet. Doors/Windows As far as doors are concerned, the main door should be larger than the inner doors and all doors should open towards the walls. All windows should be at least 3 feet 6 above ground level, and should be at the same level from the top. Window openings should be on the northern and eastern sides of the buildings



Waste Storage- Daily wastes from the kitchen should be kept covered in the south- west corner of the kitchen.

Water-Tank- It is best to keep it in the North-West, but could be kept in West also.

Doors - The doors should be in the North and East. When someone enters, the waves emerging from the doors affect his / her mind because the magnetic waves always flow around us.
